• The Rev’d Dante A. Tavolaro, Rector

    The Rev’d Dante A. Tavolaro has served St. Thomas Church since June 2020. He is a 2011 graduate of Rhode Island College (BA in Political Science), a 2017 graduate of Berkeley Divinity School at Yale (Diploma in Anglican Studies), and a 2017 graduate of Yale Divinity School (MDiv). He was ordained by Bishop Knisely as a deacon in June 2017, and as a priest in December 2017.  After two years of serving as the Priest-in-Charge, on March 9, 2022 he was elected the 9th Rector of the parish.  Prior to coming to St. Thomas he was the Associate Rector of St. Luke’s, East Greenwich and Chaplain at Rhode Island College. Before ordination he served as a lay professional on the staff of St. Martin’s, Providence and St. Peter’s by-the-Sea, Narragansett. In addition to his parish duties, Dante serves as a Board Member of the Episcopal Conference Center, Chair of the Resolutions Committee for Diocesan Convention, Deputy to General Convention (2009, 2012, 2015, 2021, 2024), and is an Associate of the Society of St. Margaret (a religious order of sisters in the Episcopal Church.  In his free time he enjoys reading, making French pastry, perfecting traditional Italian cooking techniques, and playing in the Providence Gay Flag Football League.

  • Jane R. Peach, Bookkeeper & Administrator

    Jane began her ministry at St. Thomas in September 2024.She is a C.P.A. licensed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and has worked in accounting for over 35 years.  For decades she has been involved in various non-profits including: serving at the Co-Director, Treasurer, and Board member of the Northern RI Food Pantry in Cumberland;  and as a board member and committee Chairman of Episcopal Charities of RI.  She has been a Big Sister, Power Lunch mentor, and Girl Scout leader.  In addition to her work in the wider community, Jane has served as Senior Warden, Junior Warden, and Treasurer of three parishes in the Episcopal Diocese of RI.  She is a parishioner at St. James Church, Woonsocket where she currently serves at the Senior Warden, Nightingale Fund Treasurer, and as a member of the Diocesan Commission on Finance. Prior to joining the St. Thomas staff, Jane served as our volunteer Bookkeeper for about a year.  Jane has been happily married for 45 years to a wonderful man.  They have two girls, two sons in law, and four grandchildren.
