St. Thomas is a place of peace and respite from the crazy world. Here I am surrounded by people who love me unconditionally. St. Thomas is home.

When I came to St. Thomas many years ago, I was impressed with how members made new people feel welcome. At the time, I was a member of another church, however, it never felt like home to me. When I returned to St. Thomas I knew I found my church home and family. I feel it is important to give as well as receive and that is why I joined the liturgical ministry serving as a reader and as an LEM Chalice bearer. My desire is to make newcomers feel as I felt when I first walked through the doors of St. Thomas.

St. Thomas Church means so much to me because it is a place where everyone is truly welcome. From the moment I walked in, I felt accepted and valued, with no judgment—just genuine kindness. The warmth and support I’ve found here make it feel like a second home. Beyond faith, it’s a fun and uplifting group of people who bring joy, encouragement, and a deep sense of belonging.

To me, St. Thomas Episcopal Church is a place where everyone is welcome and a place where no-one is judged.  It is a place where the Love of Jesus Christ is real and a place where everyone feels they can have  say.  It is a place to go to recharge your batteries.

When we first walked into St.Thomas four years ago, we found a friendly, welcoming community. It was clear from the interactions among others that this was a place where people were accepted for who they were and encouraged to share their ideas and talents to support others and build community both in the church and in the world beyond its doors.

When I walk into church for worship on Sunday morning, I feel a sense of peace, a calmness that reinforces my belief that amidst all the chaos outside those doors, God is among us, and I leave feeling refreshed and ready to move forward with faith.Through my work on the Vestry, I would like to bring that same feeling to others.

St. Thomas has been an integral part of my life for almost 40 years. Joining a ministry at St. Thomas means community, friendship, and sharing of faith and spirituality. There is room for everyone.

To me, Saint Thomas is more than a place of worship. It is a community of people who come together to share their faith. It is a place where new friendships are made experiences are shared, and support is given freely. It's home, family, and acceptance all rolled into one and wrapped with the warmth of God's love.

I find St. Thomas to be a place of faith, friendship, and rest througout the storms of life.  It is a gathering of people wholove God and love each other just as we are, as each of us was created.  Come join us!
