For more than a decade St. Thomas has been one of the partners for City Camp, a day camp for children of the Olneyville neighborhood of Providence sponsored by the Episcopal Conference Center (our Diocesan Summer Camp). Each session campers join members of St. Thomas for a pasta lunch where together we make salad, decorate place mates, write prayers, back snack bags, play outside, and end the visit with Klondike bars!
Each fall we aim to create 50 baskets filled with all the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal. Individuals and families are treated to fresh produced, can goods, desserts, and gift cards for turkeys. These baskets are distributed to those who reach out directly to our parish, and to the wider community through the help of other local community partners.
Each Christmas Season we collect gifts to help spread the holiday cheer to our neighbors. In our practice we are reminded of St. Nicholas who helped share gifts and items of necessity with those in need.
Throughout the year we also collect school supplies, socks and underwear, food items, calendars, cards, and more. Contact our Parish Office to learn more about our latest drive .
